“Follow your Dreams” by Amanda Bradley and “Remember” by Dawn Jensen
The poem
“Follow your Dreams” by Amanda Bradley is short and concise. The poem contain
one stanza and eleven verses. The main theme of the poem is to follow dreams,
as the tittle says. The author is saying that being focus help to accomplish
dreams. The poem says to the audience that dreams should be followed no matter
what.
“Remember”
by Dawn Jensen, for other instance, is long. The poem contain 10 stanzas with
four verses and one stanza with five verses. In this poem the author telling to
the audience who has lost their way on the life to regain it back. This poem
want to remind people who there are and what they want. The main theme of the
poem is remember who you are and overcoming difficult times.
The poem “Follow
your Dreams” have a literal tittle. The content of the poem is also literal.
The poem basically is telling that dreams need to be follow. Amanda Bradley is
telling the audience that they need to climb and be focus and later the dream
will be accomplish. After people have accomplish dreams, they can “go back” to
see what they climb and all the effort made to be standing there.
In
contrast, the poem “Remember” have a figurative tittle. The structure is
simple, that’s why is easy to understand the meaning of the poem. The author
uses emotions on the second stanza to make contact with the audience. She does
it because many people have felt this way. The next stanzas of the poem make the
reader remember it roots. Dawn Jensen mention the place where people come from,
and family. This technique is used to create imagery, because will reading it
people really think of what the poem is saying, and the reader get involved and
relate with situations.
Both poems have
beautiful meanings! Definitely the poems “Follow your Dreams” and “Remember” are
motivational and perseverance. The two poems want people to change in a positive
way. People need to have goals, because with goals they can see their potential.
As the poems says, people should be focus on who they are, where they come
from, and what they want to achieve.
